A great time was had by all at our classroom Halloween party! The kids enjoyed seeing each other's costumes, eating snacks and candy, and playing Halloween Bingo. Thank you to the Room Moms who helped!

Social Studies Posters

In class we have been studying government, voting procedures, laws, and rules. The students made a list of laws and rules that were very important to follow. Once the list was made, the students were given a law/rule and the instructions to use their creative ability to design a poster for that law/rule.

eLearning

Today, I reviewed how to use Google Classroom. The kids got with a partner to walk through a new assignment. They had their assignment finished and turned in rather quickly. We will be using this throughout the year for assignments. It may be for math, reading, writing, or whatever we are working on in the classroom. Remember to check out Google Classroom with your child when you get a chance. :)

Google Classroom

On Wednesday, October 26th, you will need to log onto Google Classroom. Your child has used this page before. Today the students logged on and completed a math page for me while using their iPads.

Harlem Ambassadors

We had a visit from the Harlem Ambassadors this afternoon. They were awesome! They came to promote a positive attitude and to show ways to help children stop bullying. The kids LOVED them!

Fire Safety

Today we had visitors from the Lowell Fire Department and they taught us all about fire safety. We learned and reviewed a lot of things during this visit:

*Who to call in case of an emergency.

*Don't play in the kitchen while someone is cooking.

*If you are on fire, you need to STOP, DROP, COVER, and ROLL.

*How to get out if there is a fire.

*Make sure to have a meeting place for your family.

*Get out, stay out, and don't go back in!
